Ok, so I have had this laptop for about a month now, so I figured it was time for a review! Let’s get started!
This is Apple’s lower end macbook. It runs you $999 in the states. I think it is an excellent deal, seeing that a lot of people are switching to mac lately, and they can’t always afford the best mac.
This MacBook is the same as the Macbook Pro, under the hood that is. It has all the same specs as the MBP, including the same screen size of the lower end MBP. However, it’s the overall look that separates it from the MBP. It has a white polycarbonate casing, not the aluminum unibody as in the MBP. It also has the track pad with the button, not the multi-touch as seen on the aluminum MBP.
So, a couple of my friends have ask me why I didn’t go for the Pro version. Well, that is because this is my first mac. I didn’t want to go all out. Plus, I’m buying a iMac next year. Oh yeah, I’m only 14. I don’t have money for the pro, but like I said, I’m saving up for an iMac.

This laptop is very small and very portable. I like the fact that Macs have iLife, it just makes everything easier. I want to make a movie, I open iMovie, I want to tag pictures of my friends, I open up iPhoto, I feel like writing a song, I open Garageband. iLife also includes iWeb, iTunes and iDVD. It might include more programs, but I’m drawing a blank right now.
I also quite enjoy Apple’s pro software, such as Final Cut Studio, which I installed about 2 weeks ago. My MacBook also came bundled with a Canon Printer, iWork 09 and Photoshop Elements.
Mac’s also run boot camp, which is great for when you need to run a windows application for school, work, etc… It just good to know that you basically have 2 operating systems in 1. Very smart on Apple’s part.
The only things about the Macbook I really “hate” is that it only has 2 USB ports. I have also read online about the notorious cracking with the macbook. That kind off annoys me, but I heard you just take it to the Genius Bar, and they fix. Nothing else to it. Plus I plan on replacing this in about a year anyways.
I highly recommend this to anyone new to the Mac OS. It’s not as expensive as the other ones, but still has all the great features OS 10 has to offer. You could go with a Mac Mini, but it doesn’t have a DVD burner, so if you burn CD’s and DVD’s, I’d go with the Macbook, otherwise the mini is the perfect choice for a first mac.

I found this article on the internet, and wow, ATT&T and Apple are facing anoither lawsuit. This is all because the f-cking iPhone 3GS is the 3rd f-cking iPhone out, and still doesn’t take well to MMS messages. Any other phone on the d-mn market take MMS messages. My grandpas fricking pre-historic phone accepts MMS. I’ve promised myself I will NOT buy a flippin’ iPhone until I can receive multimedia messages with ease! C’mon Apple, get with the program! One of the main features of the 3GS was its voice command! Phones have had that for the past half a decade! You finally realized, “Maybe we should add a video recorder to the new iPhones.” “NO F-CKING SH-T STEVE! We should have f-cking added that to the first iPhone” replied a fellow Apple worker. I love Apple! I love Macs! The best computers ever invented! But the iPhone? Meh. C’mon Stevie, you’re a smart man, you should know that it’s not the 90′s anymore, people need there MMS!
When I heard about the 3GS, I thought, “Hmm, maybe I’ll get this iPhone, I mean they’ve finally added a video recorder and all that ‘fancy’ sh-t, maybe It will be worth buying.” Now, I’m pretty happy I decided to wait to buy my precious iPhone. Hopefully, the iPhone 3GSS (3G Super-speed) will have all the features that every cellular has had since 2000.
